Great Northern Launch of Walking Underwater

ONE OF Australia’s great performance poets, Sarah Temporal, will host me at her gig, Poets Out Loud at Murwillumbah on Thursday 9 December.

The occasion, much delayed by the pandemic, is the launch of my fourth collection, Walking Underwater (Pitt Street, September 2021). I’m thrilled that Adam Van Kempen, Chair of the Byron Bay Writers’ Festival, will say a few words by way of launching me. So may Sarah, who was recently a star student in my online poetry masterclass, What the Light Tells.

There’s the usual open mic. around my reading—poems from the book, new work, and a few from my next collection A Beginner’s Guide, out in 2022.

The event is on at the home of Poets Out Loud: Gallery by Bacaro, in the Tweed Regional Gallery, 2 Mistral Road, South Murwillumbah. 6:30 till 9:00pm.

I’ll have books with me to sell, but why wait? https://pittstreetpoetry.com/book/walking-underwater/

After so many hours at the desk, teaching, mentoring, and now and again writing, I’m so looking forward to the road trip and to a stay in the great Caldera, and, of course, to the event itself. Please come along.
