A great interview with man of letters David Astle on Evenings, his show on ABC Radio Melbourne, Wednesday night (13 May 2020). Thanks to Ali Whitelock for making it happen and to David and his producer Amber for the depth of their research and the sophistication of the questions. We covered how I lost my way into poetry, the uses of landscape, the play of levity and gravity, how to teach literature and how to live it.
